Multimedia Artist and Journalist

Hi there! My name is Hanna Nickles. I am an aspiring multimedia journalist and artist from Hot Springs, Arkansas! I specialize in oil painting, linocut printing, and illustration.

If you couldn't already tell from looking at my art, I absolutely love birds! I am very interested in how they have influenced humans in our artistic and everyday endeavors. I hope to use both my art and my writing to support advocacy for avian wildlife while also creating pieces that are fun and whimsical.

I am most inspired by work from the Arts and Crafts movement along with artists Tove Jansson, Andrea Zanatelli and Florence Sweryda. 

I love doing work that challenges me creatively, gives me the opportunity to use various mediums, and allows for experimenting. I'm currently taking commissions, so don't hesitate to reach out if you are interested in working together!
